In June 2020 one of UK's most well known Pub & Hotel chains failed to pay the 2 year old invoice below, what's even more shocking is that Thwaites failed to stop this damning indictment see the light of day.
The Creditor hopes that after waiting 2 years this recently updated Thwaites humiliating network will cause Daniel Thwaites Plc Board of Directors to think again and act responsibily concerning the following :
10/06/2020 - for the attention of Daniel Thwaites plc - invoice number : 26688 has missed the deadline for payment by the due date - hence the reason for this default notice - to avoid further notices please ensure all outstanding invoices are paid in the not too distant future!
A quick word about Richard Bailey at Daniel Thwaites Plc.
If there are any employees that Thwaites shareholders should consider as one of the main culprits for this publicly aired debacle then the finger of suspicion points at their Executive Chairman, Richard Bailey. Some 6 weeks have passed since he received the second Creditor’s letter and the response has been woefully absent which has done nothing to help Daniel Thwaites cause in this matter.

Thwaites 1st Complaint ... I have visited this pub on two occasions and on both times I have been extremely unhappy with the service. Before I explain why let me firstly say the food is excellent and on the whole the bar staff are very friendly. But the manager, a big fella is one of the rudest and aggressive people I have ever met. I witnessed him throw a 70 year old couple out of his pub for simply expressing their disappointed that a table they booked had not been reserved.... He had zero empathy and was very very agressive to this couple who were quite clearly upset at the encounter. I would 100% recommend eating somewhere else next time you are in this area. This man does not deserve anybody's custom.
Thwaites 2nd Complaint ... My husband and I visited this hotel for what was supposed to be a pleasant lunch for our wedding anniversary. The waitress showed us to seats at a table in the restaurant and told tat there was roast beef or roast pork or roast chicken and after about 5 minutes a waitress asked if we were ready to order but there was no beef or pork left (at 1.00 pm on Sunday!!!) so we ordered chicken. At 1 30 I caught the eye of the waitress to ask where our food was and was told it was on the way. 12 minutes later it still hadn't arrived so we started to leave and the waitress said again it was on the way but we were adamant that 42 minutes was too long to wait. 2 tables of ..other people who came in after us were served already.
Thwaites 3rd Complaint ... We recently ate here and enjoyed the food, so decided to return last evening. The orders were taken but the food was quite a while in arriving. What we saw was definitely poor quality and my partners chicken wrap was cold and inedible. We requested vinegar for the chips, it never arrived. Staff were poorly trained as when we were asked if everything had been ok, my partners plate was almost untouched, he shrugged his shoulders and cleared the table. Sadly we won’t be back.
